These Terms and Conditions are in place to protect our cleaners. Our cleaners are self-employed and are paid for the work they complete. They are affected by any cancellations or customers that are not at home (or left a key) when the they arrive for an appointment. Therefore, any cancellation fees or no show fees are paid to our cleaners in full. Any late payment fees are kept by Dirty Solutions Cleaning to cover our administration costs.
For regular cleans:
This is included for any commercial or domestic cleaning.
Cancellation up to 48 hours before appointment - if you give more than 48 hours notice of cancelling a booking then there is no cancellation fee to be paid and your service can be rearranged.
Cancellation up to time of appointment - if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment then a late cancellation fee of £10 is due and owed.
No show - if you do not cancel at all, but a cleaner arrives for the appointment time and can not get access to your property then the full cleaning fee is owed. The cleaner will wait for 30 minutes from the appointment time. However, the cleaner will then leave and full amount of the clean will be owed. Any delay in the cleaner getting access to the property will be deducted from the total time booked. For example, if you have booked a cleaner for 3 hours, no key is provided and the cleaner has had to wait 30 minutes for you to get home, then the cleaner will only clean for 2.5 hours, with no changes to the amount owed for the booking.
For one-off cleans:
The above cancellation fees also apply. However, any extras that were booked as part of the appointment will also be included. For example, if you have specifically booked a removal van, hired specialist cleaning equipment. If this was included in the booking, you agree to pay us any costs we incur.
On the rare occasion the price of the package may vary after your first clean. If a 2 bedroom property is significantly larger than an average two bedroom property then an adjustment to the package will have to be made. Any changes in price following the first clean will be discussed and agreed with the customer.
Due to the fact that the cost of the deep clean, carpet clean and hard flooring clean is spread over 6 months, this is a 6 month contact and includes 6 monthly payments. First payment being on the date of the first clean and monthly thereafter. This is to stop people having the deep cleans, carpet cleans and hard flooring cleans completed on the first month and then cancelling.
You are still able to cancel at any time, with no extra cancellation fee. However, should you cancel before the 6 months is over then the discount applied to the package (usually around 15%) no longer applies and the cost of the work already completed will be owed in full.
For example, if you have your house deep cleaned, carpets wet vacuumed and hard flooring steam "blasted" on month one at a usual cost of £332 before any package discount, but you have only paid one monthly payment of £99, then the balance of £233 will still be owed if you were to cancel.
The bookings for the fortnightly or regular cleans can not be changed if you book a package. Any changes to the day or time of the week of your clean is at the discretion of Dirty Solutions Cleaning. Dirty Solutions Cleaning will make efforts to accommodate any time/day changes, but if they are unable to do so and cleans are missed, then there is no changes to the amount owed and costs are still due as if the clean was completed.
The home packages can not be transferred to other addresses. The contract is with the person making the original booking. If you move then it is the discretion of Dirty Solutions Cleaning if the package can continue at the new address or if it needs to be cancelled. If the package has to be cancelled due to moving house, then the same principle as outlined in the above paragraph still applies - no discount is provided and the discount already given will be owed.
All fees are due on the day of the clean. Payment for packages is owed on the day of the first clean and every month after that on the same day of the month. Payment can not be any later than 24 hours. If payment is later than 24 hours from when it is due, then a late payment fee of £5 is owed. This is to cover our time and costs involved in chasing payments.
